Re: External Word Clock Generator for Digi001? Worth the effort/cost?

A good reason to upgrade to 6 is MTC.

I just read over in MIDI--- a digi tech saying MTC is timestamped and outputted early, so it will be in sync with the session. Before it was 1/4 frame sloppy....

Re: quantizing from whole note grid to 1/4 note grid

I just switched a 12bar 4/4 section to 24 bars of 2/4. Using Identify beat. (just switched meter to 2/4 in upper window---leaving bottom alone)

But do it in two passes.

Try on the second pass,...

Re: quantizing from whole note grid to 1/4 note grid

Have you tried Midi to remeter and choose 4/1 as tempo.

I thought I had identify beat working but, lots of error messages.Sseems you have to option click the blue arrows and conductor triangles to...

Re: Timestamp support?

...even 'though I'm an ol dawg to MIDI (having rewound enough tape so the dang DX drum machine counted the FSK pulses correctly....)

I would still like to know. How does a Pro Tool's 6 Session...

Re: Timestamp support?

Ted,

Is there any advantage using the DIGI interface? I.E. does it 'know' when the session starts so that the interface clock is referenced to ticks accurately. Or is it a freewheel thing, on the...

Re: iBook battery reset procedure?

Here's the procedure for the Ti Book

Re: Timestamp support?

What would the clock reference to? Itself? I guess each midi track would be relative, but still, you'd have to nudge it forwards are backwards depending on the delay of the traffic to PTs.

You're...

Re: Has anyone with a dual model & PT 6 done the Dave C test ?

Regarding SCSI vs ATA

The 10k Cheetah (UW3) squeezes out at least one more Deverb and a couple comp/limiters vs the 7,200 ATA (on exact same 24/24 session) in 5. So, and yeah, good reason to list...

Thus avoiding crosstalk and the spurious noise problem (that causes off axis spikes--that sound like clicks)
