Re: Help with MBox and XP

If you really want to use your monitors with a game, your probably better off getting an 1/8" stereo to dual 1/4" mono cable. Connect the 1/8" end to your onboard soundcard and the other ends to your...

Re: Help with MBox and XP

I don't think he was being too harsh. He was just explaining what recording devices are meant to be used for. It's kind of frustrating that people go out and buy recording gear and expect it to be...

Re: mbox mini has a small headphoneoutput

Disregard my previous reply. I read it fast and thought you were talking about the actual jack (which turns out to actually be 1/4").

Please give more info on what your actual problem is.

I don't think it would really matter what bitrate you use as they are all pretty much universally playable the difference would be the filesize and quality. That being said, I've found that 192kbps...

Re: Some Mastering Issues - PLEASE HELP!!!!

Actually you lose sound quality when going from 24 to 16 bit. Someday I'm sure the standard for music will be 24bit, honestly I don't know why it isn't right now. Maybe because of file size or...

Re: Some Mastering Issues - PLEASE HELP!!!!

WMP (and many other music programs) don't support 24 bit audio. Bounce to 16 bit.
Just in case you didn't know, CD quality is 16 bit, 44.1.

Go to the device manager...

Also, can someone reply to my original question? Will there be any benefit to importing the files to a 24/96 session?
