Re: PT 11 and OSX Mavericks 10.9
I didn't feel this thread was about complaining, but rather people sharing their experiences with it.
Seriously, why would anyone think it should work with an OS that's still in development (and...

Re: PT 11 and OSX Mavericks 10.9
PT 10.3.6 works for me in Mavericks (DP1 and DP2; DP3 untested), however it seems processing power is inclined to drop out - I have lots of 'lost connection/change buffer size' errors, and the new...

Re: Digi 002r clarification needed on digital I/O (S/PDIF) standards
In my first post, I quoted the 002/002r manual, page 55:
and from page 1:
Just being thorough - but I get the impression that the ODL312 is the most "doubt-less" solution for me (though...

Re: Digi 002r clarification needed on digital I/O (S/PDIF) standards
Actually, I'm thinking of getting the same box you have, since the digi 002 should take up to 96k fine as S/PDIF over light pipe.

Re: Digi 002r clarification needed on digital I/O (S/PDIF) standards
Thanks again for your responses. I really appreciate them. I think based on your personal experience, you're probably right about the 002, and this really would end up being a crapshot at best.

Re: Digi 002r clarification needed on digital I/O (S/PDIF) standards
Thank you.
Perhaps my confusion is rooted in a misunderstanding of IEC 958 Type I & II; I'm under the impression that Type II is 16-bit, and Type I is 24-bit. What I've read suggests that AES and...

Re: Digi 002r clarification needed on digital I/O (S/PDIF) standards
Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd rather not use a converter box. The one you mention is certainly intriguing, however. Extra cost, being "loose" (from the mounted gear), and changing the signal are...

Digi 002r clarification needed on digital I/O (S/PDIF) standards

According to the 002's manual:
According to wikipedia:
S/PDIF is a consumer...
