I've experienced this before, it's called sample ticking. Tinker with your clock settings, from Internal to external, specially when you're using hardware interfaces. Hope this helps.

Well I was pretty sure it was not a power problem and after some tinkering around I figured out what was wrong.

I opened Audio MIDI Setup and deleted the Pro Tools Aggregate… Voila…

And I don't know what you mean by "hot-patch"… I've been using the same setup for years… No changes.

Thanks for your reply Ben. I'm aware of what you said but the particular plugins I am having this problem with (avox warmer and SPL Twintube for example) should work as RTAS on either mono or stereo...

I just got a Keystudio 49e from M-Audio. Installed the drivers. Fired PTLE8, created a Midi track, but my only MIDI input options are Digi002 Port 1 and Port 3... no USB input...

Am I missing...
