Da Vince Resolve and Avid HDX
I have just started using Da Vinci Resolve 16 and am trying to route the audio out of my HDX card.
So far unsuccessful.
Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks - Fred

Re: for those running G5 w/2 displays...advice!
I run a 2005 era G5 (last of the PCI X - pre PCIe) with 2 x NEC 19" monitors and 2 x NEC 17" monitors. Apple adaptors from DVI to VGA (I guess the older G5 has the ADC) - then 6' VGA cables to 2...

M-Box midi
Can someone recommend a midi box to work with M-Box and G4 12" 867mhz. I am trying to put together a VERY compact portable writing set up for the road. Any suggestions would be most welcome - thanks.

Re: Witch is better for metal guitar sound
One nice trick to try, if you are relying on a plug in to get the sound you are after, is to run the guitar through a combo with a clean sound (doesn't have to be loud) first - then insert Amp Farm...

Re: Upgrade SCSI question
Having just been through an upgrade from my beloved G3 Beige to a G4 733 I would advise to not mess around - buy Digi's own Atto dual SCSI card. It works!!
You will need 2 channels as the G4 does...

Thanks DrumPro77 for your suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't work. Same problem. I can't even copy from one drive to another now (36g to 19g) without the system locking up.

Don't know if this will help as I am still ADB but I run 25' with S-VHS cable for both Turbo Mouse and keyboard - works great. I assume USB should be fine too.

The only advice I have after reading the replies is to stress the "not too close to the wall behind". Your low end will be messed up. Also make sure they are free standing - not connected to your...

Could be an Extension conflict but probably a drive issue. First backup contents of your audio drive. How much free memory do you have on that drive? You should never use more than 90% of any drive...

Re: Splitting guitar signal for direct recording?
I would have thought a passive DI box would be the best way to go. You have to record his "DI" sound anyway so you've got to go low impedence into a mic pre and into your A/D to get to PT. Take the...

I would also suggest making your own. Use Neutric connectors - remember you have to do the same amount of work whether you buy cheap or expensive connectors. Neutric are probably the easiest to...

Re: Easier way to enter Patch Names?!
Why don't you use Galaxy - get sounds and info from your synths and then go to names in PT and select the bundle you need for each synth. Works for me. 1080, 2080 no problem. However anything that...

Re: Kick drum mic techniques?
Try a Shure Beta 52 (on a shock mount preferably) about 12" away from the batter head and off-center - about 3" from the shell. I find the Focusrite Red 1 a superb mic pre for kick drum. Front head...
