Also, just downloaded the latest m-audio driver (the one you suggested) and I am still seeing the issue. Starting to wonder if this is a problem with the midi interface...what do you think?

Its a compatibility issue. You probably have an older version of structure. Go tow www.avid.com and search for "yellow air" for more info.
