I´ve used Milab DC-96B alot of times with exellent result.
I´ve also used C414 and KM184 numerous times and I love them all. Here in sweden you can get ahold of a pair of DC-96B really cheap though.

A LaCie d2 80G firewire is what I use for data (pro-tools) storage. Works very well and pretty cheap.

Doesn´t the XV5050 come with SoundDiver or a similar program to edit/load the patches from a computer? My old JV1010 did, and that worked just fine.

I´m using a LaCie d2 80GB with my laptop and M-Box. No Digi 002, but in my setup it works flawlessly. I´s a bit heavy (aluminum shell) but I´m a strong fellow so no prob images/icons/smile.gif
