You could still use a normal song-per snapshot list in conjunction with this, the challenge would be that when the artist triggers their snapshot it will screw up your order, so simply hitting next...

I agree. I should add that in both cases these were touring rental desks, which obviously take a lot more abuse than an install.

I recommend reseating all DSP and RAM immediately. Then run Digitest which will test your DSP chips. The desk will tell you any fan problems as well as provide detailed logs on voltages and fan...

I have but one tip. Abandon Waves Tracks Live and get Reaper. It will do all that and more, with greater reliability.

I think the power switch decision might have something to do with the processing engine not needing to be close to the surface. In a touring situation, you would likely rack up the i/o and both...

You can matrix the monitor sends if you use an AES or S/PDIF loopback, then just use the return channel as a "user defined" input at the matrix.

Yes it is. I do it often in virtual soundcheck mode. I haven't personally used it in input mode, but I know some folks who do and it works well. I do recommend a discrete world clock connection.

I don't really know the S3L very well, but what many of us do on the Profile to deal with this issue is as follows:

Route Monitor L/R output to AES1/2.

Connect a jumper cable between AES1/2 in...

Unfortunately, you will not be able to use PC messages for more than 128 snapshots, unless you change the receiving channel mid-show or something like that.

I can't answer definitively but I can tell you I've done over 6 hours with Reaper without a problem. Hopefully someone can answer as it relates to PT, but I'd also consider looking for a spot or two...

I can't speak for the mix rack, but in a stage rack you would need two Madi cards installed, which would give you 128 inputs.
