Also, the input & output of the S/PDIF are each a single RCA so I don't understand how there can be a stereo return or how I route a signal to the input of the external effect.

It's Pro Tools LE7 & a Digi-002R and I'm looking at the Pro Tools Reference Guide PDF from the Help menu.

Yes, the 002R is the only item listed in the Playback...

I'd like to connect my Lexicon PCM-91 to my Digi-002 via the S/PDIF digital ports as a send/receive. I've bought a pair of 75ohm RCA cables but am having trouble doing the set-up.

Thanks for the quick response. With PT7LE the sample rate is set in the software rather than on the Digi-002 and the maximum available rate, I guess becuase it's LE, is 48khz.

I have been using Pro Tools 7 LE for many years, originally with an m-box 2 and, more recently with a Digi-002R with the Black Lion Audio Tweakhead upgrade.

I don't tend to use plug-ins, although on a couple of recent projects I've used the one band EQ plug-in on some tracks. I don't use any plug-ins that didn't come bundled...

I'm using ProToils LE7 on an iBook G4. The sends to the Lexicon are coming from outputs 7&8 and the return is through channels 7&8 of a Digi 002 Rack.
