I must say...

Re: Have the white noise blast solved in PT11?

As I remember that bug was fixed a long time ago even under 10. Can't remember at which version they fixed it but it was during our mix of Cloud Atlas which ended late summer 2012.
Are you still...

Re: The dark side of WRITE TO SELECTION

Wow, finally a constructive response. It's the user who's just too dumb. But wait, the help-info says this function is called "write to selection" but it does it even when nothing is selected. Guess,...

Re: Avid Everywhere...

To put it into perspective, competing DAWs (the one that starts with an N for example) have been able to do live track-based collaboration for many years and now have internet syncing built in so...

Re: Avid Everywhere...

I recommend to put sensitive stuff into TrueCrypt or GPG containers before uploading them up to someone's cloud. Unless of course you don't mind the next "oops, sorry. we just found out that there...

Re: PT 11.1.2 much worse than PT 11

The DRA would be the place to go I think. They have the biggest collection of that kind of stuff. And it's all in one place and catalogued. They will also be able to tell you if they did such kind...

Re: PT 11.1.2 much worse than PT 11

You mean an actual recording from that time? You can try the German Broadcast archive:

http://www.dra.de

They have a huge collection of original tapes, cylinders, records etc. from German...

Re: Delte muted clips

IMO the search function of the clip list should be expanded to boolean search and also tick-boxes where you can tell PT to only search video, audio, group-clips, midi-clips, muted, used in time-line...

Re: How to force de-interleaving?

Forgot to mention that consolidating will change the file-names which I need to avoid.

I have solved it now by re-exporting the files (command-shift-K) and set that to mono.

Thanks,

Frank.

How to force de-interleaving?

Hi,

does anyone know a way to force PT to de-interleave a couple of 5.1 BWAVs?
When I set my session to split and import the files using "copy" they remain interleaved and the "convert" option...

Re: supersessions in pt11

Same here.

I have 9 reels in one 200-track session and sometimes as many as 15 when conformalizing and fixing recuts. All with monster clip-groups etc.

That simply wouldn't be possible in 10...

Re: Here we go .

I ask myself:

What's pro about the new MacPro then?

It doesn't offer expansion for existing pro equipment.
It doesn't fit into any mounting system.
People essentially have to re-build their...

Re: GUI not working on channel strip?

Ok, so I switched it to multi-mono and now I can at least switch the GUI to center. Would be better if that worked in multi-channel mode as well.

Seems like it only works for L/R there.

Re: Video Engine Problems with Pro Tools 11

Happened all the time in super-sessions and AltiVerb. It needs a lot of RAM to load IRs. And when conforming with monster region-groups etc.

You had to set undo level to one and all sorts of other...

Or how much will that be?

I hope someone at Apple is following these hoops professionals...

Re: Video Engine Problems with Pro Tools 11

Even though the AVE isn't up to specs yet I must say I don't really miss the countless crashes every day due to memory ossues under ten.

Before 11 it was 5-10 crashes a day in big post sessions...
