Re: Quick Question HD Native Thunderbolt

Sure it can be understood as a totally battery-powered solution, but coming from the HD world the wording is easy to understand. Before that little box we needed to carry a full desktop workstation...

Re: Whats happened to AA32

Not a lot of PT10-era plugins that are available as AAX64 but not available as RTAS/TDM so it's not a huge problem. Nobody expects new plugins to be back-ported to old platforms, right? And if so,...

Re: Damn Low End!!!

Oh yea, HPF is your friend. Once you set it low enough to find problems, you know where your room needs work. That is also true with PA systems by the way

Re: Dither

No, you are not forced to. You can for example have a Waves limiter that has dither to do the job for you (when you bounce your master)... What you are looking for is selecting dither for a clip...

Re: Dither

I haven't seen it a problem as this is not a final product. Care to elaborate why this is so important? For a single clip?

Re: Damn Low End!!!

Sure, if you just buy a sub that has a crossover where you connect your satellites (the monitors you previously had), the instant gratification is that the low...

Re: Dither

Any dither is "good" if you're not doing a final WAV for CD plant -- AS LONG AS YOU DON'T DOUBLE-DITHER. That is bad.

I'm sure most of you wondering about this issue don't have monitoring that is...

Re: Control Plug-In Parameters with a MIDI control surface

My "easy solution" is a Novation Launchkey midi keyboard, which has 8 sliders and 8 knobs, plus 16 trigger buttons. It is easy enough to set up.
