Thanks for responding. It's just read mode I think, but there is no automation enabled on these faders. Keep in mind that I can move the same faders on the screen with the mouse with no interference...

Pro Tools Faders are not following S1 fader moves until you let go

Trying to ride some vocal levels on the controller, Pro Tools does not follow the fader moves in tandem. It only updates the fader position in pro tools when you let go of the faders.

Perhaps the S1s I bought from Sweetwater were probably very old stock. It would be nice to learn more. At any rate, Avid is being kind to exchange them with new ones!

Sure sounds like it could be! And on two different S1s. I know because I removed one from Eucontrol and still got this Issue. What was the resolution of that controller bug?

Dear Rich: Thanks. I was not aware of the indicator of clipFX being applied or not. Perhaps it's in the view menu or preferences but it's not showing any EQ or DYN indication on the clip(s).

New clips recorded in the timeline have the "defective" factory default clip effects preset applied. This is completely unacceptable. I've issued an Avid Support case.

As I mentioned in the thread, you are correct. I misinterpreted the 1 and 2 buttons and did not realize they are ENGAGE buttons for the filters. Nevertheless, for sure the two dynamics ENGAGE buttons...

Roger. I did not realize that the filter buttons 1 and 2 were ENGAGE buttons (see later in this thread), but the dynamics sections are engaged!
