I agree completely.
I run my HD system on a Mac Pro with 16 cores and set my procs back to 12.
It runs like a champ. I just kept going back and forth until I found the optimum for my work flow. 12...

This has been troublesome for me as well, and, very disappointing.
The only option I've found is to use in-line pads at the source. Not ideal.
Just make sure to get high quality ones...

Okay, so, me too. I can't overemphasize how difficult this makes things. It's very hard on my artists. Does anyone have any ideas for a work around?
