I have a very similar experience on Sierra but with an ilok issue thrown in.. Day before yesterday, all plugins and everything was working fine.


Next my session would not load, hanging on trying...

Ah I am having this issue too. I haven't tried to use the MIDI ports in a long time but it used to be there.


I have just tried to start using it in Mackie MIDI mode with other software though...

It seems like strategically Avid are shooting themselves in the foot. Lots of people are staying on older versions because of the price - which is fine. But Avid are trying to replace TDM and RTAS...
