I'd have to go back through the thread but I think we were talking about Track Folders, or Folder Tracks. A way to you hide or collapse many tracks in a parent folder.

I would imagine so, as well. I know I use Windows Config & Memory Locations quite a bit. And I rarely get above 48 tracks.

I'm not opposed to having Track Folders as a feature. I'm sure I could find a use for it, or possibly even wonder how I got along without it before we had it.

However, I'm left with this thought...

Oh, yes certainly Bins (or folders) in the Clip List is long over due. I was speaking specifically about Track Folders.

Admittedly, I don't really see the need for track folders. Especially considering what can be done with Memory Locations etc

Obviously, I could be wrong, and not fully understanding how they could...

Indeed, a level of redundancy is a must for any live date.

I used PT for years on live dates, but tried REAPER out of frustration once I went with a laptop and Dante et al. There were very random...

I used to schlep around a PT 7.4.2 HD3 rig with OSX 10.4.11.
Absolutely rock solid.

I might revisit PT as an option.

With regards to using PT for live capture, I can't think of the last time I've not used REAPER for that task. Like you say, bring a laptop and a cable and off you go. I'm setting up 24 trks and all...
