I'm recording on a mono audio track, with a 3nd generation mbox mini.
It's the one that came with pro tools LE 8 software. The black and grey one.

Yes, you must remember to use dither. And I use AVS audio converter to do the job. it's approximately 40 dollars, and I can't tell the difference in sound quality.
