I think it has something to do with Digi CoreAudio Manager. I had a problem with iTunes and QT. the version of CoreAudio I'm running now is 6.5.2.

I have read about some 6.4.1 users using eqIII as RTAS only. Does anyone know which version works best? Are there any conflicts with DSP manager, or anything else?

We had similiar problems. It turned out to be old plug-in versions. An old version of Fousrite eq was causing hang ups on session start etc.

I see this problem from time to time...It happens to me on a 5.1.1 PT MIX system...I can usually work around it or get to stop but it is still frustrating.

We are running 4 rooms all day with 2-4 projects per room per day. We started off backing up all Pro tools session to DVD-RAM. This is actually just an archive. We only have one copy of this stuff...
