How do I get my Mbox to work on OSX 10.5.8

Wow it has been a while since I was on here.

I finally got my mbox back from someone who was borrowing it for a couple of years and am trying to get it to work with my new macbook pro w/ 10.5.8....

what is highest free upgrade for mbox 6.9?

I have not used my Mbox for a couple of years and wondered what the hightest free upgrade was. I just downloaded to 6.9 but can I go to anything higher?

Ibook okay or is powerbook much better?

I am looking for a mac laptop mainly for playing MP3's - photo storage and for my Mbox. I live in Nigeria so the macbook pro is probably not a good idea as my protools LE is 6.7 is not compatable...

I couldn't find the quicktime preferences you were talking about.

Can an Mbox be used as a soundcard for other apps

I have a dell inspiron and the sound card is pretty useless. I am wondering if I got an Mbox could I use it as a sound card for other applications (like itunes or muisicmatch etc).

I am going into a pro studio next week to get some mixing finished. I am going to be running 16 channels out of my HD system into an Amek board.

I started out with a 192 and a 96. I took the 96 back and got another 192. No only sound differences but the 192 is MUCH more versitile.
