i installed the aja codec from the website....now i can play it QT time player and i can import it now in Protools ;) Windows 10 Pro

I tried to update the video and quicktime codecs for the 2nd time ..now QT10 can play the uncompressed file 😊 on my old Mac..no problems importing it ..gorgeous HD video and its 6GB for a 30 seconder...

Hi I need to layback audio to a ProRes Qt but PT says i.have a missing video codec and wont let me import it ..even QT 7 pro says the same..it can play.but with no frames or video at all..all black.....

I once did a show for "ASIAN FOOD CHANNEL" the editor told me to mix it on -12db. for Singapore only. could be the same for China. HTH

I think that best work around is outiside PT if you have QuicktimePro, bounce the mix (should be same length as the video file ) then do the audio layin in QT...saves you time too HTH

Make a new Session......Import first the 23.98 video then import the 25fps session but don't forget to apply SRC ..and that would be "PAL to NTSC pull down"...then your off :)

I did it once using DVD STUDIO PRO using a dummy video or you can also do it without the video. It was really user friendly....just drag and drop HTH

A client just gave us BBCWN requirements
video should be in MXF 50MB OP1a D10

the material is still on (video)editing stage,

this happened to me , a computer reboot would be one fix, 2nd is, if you have several QT files on the same session..delete the the movie file that you dont need to bounce. and then bounce to QT :)...

hmmmm Thanks Dr Sound! TASA would be a good metering stick.We're just looking at if our mix will sound as good with those internationally made /Hollywood ones, I guess Dynamics could be the key;) ...

We're about to do a movie trailer which will be on DCP, Just would like to get some advice on how much will I go on the levels , I'm thinking of a -20 to -18 norm for the dialogue and a tag higher on...

I imported all tracks on a fresh session with the same sampling rate (48K) ..still no luck but when I created again a new session and dowmsampled it to 44.1 khz it played just fine!...

This is weird! Pls Help

I have a session that most of the cues/audioclips on the timeline sounds distorted but upon loading a different session ..all audiofiles are ok...I tried rebooting(hard) the whole setup...

When bouncing is goes to the documents folder not on the file session itself ...really giving me that grrrrr feeling hehe...how do I default it back on the file session...it keeps on going back to...

Plugins that you don't have on your set up will be grayed out or italicized, so you can still see them upon importing. I think some plugins offer 3 month rentals HTH
