Re: EuCon vs Bonjour on Windows 8.1

Because the motherboard has two network ports, I have one dedicated for internet connectivity for my home network. The second port is connected to a small 5 port network switch that allows me to have...

Re: EuCon vs Bonjour on Windows 8.1

Understandable, and that's totally okay, just wanted to make sure I understood it.

So, to be a little more specific, here's a closer breakdown of when things were resolved:

Update for Windows...

Re: EuCon vs Bonjour on Windows 8.1

Thanks for the reply. It appears that recent Windows Updates have solved my problem, and now I no longer have a BSOD caused by the Bonjour software.

On a side tangent, because I'm curious, why...

Re: Please, release the C24 Replacement ASAP.

I have to double check this with a larger/more in-depth session, however I had a C|24 working with PT11 this morning.

Game changer?

Re: Avid Qualified PC???

My machine is far from Avid qualified for PT11, and works totally fine (depending on your opinion of totally fine).

If you're using a firewire interface, you should have a TI based firewire card...

EuCon vs Bonjour on Windows 8.1

I'm having a battle royale with my desktop machine since making an update, and I'm wondering if anyone knows a workaround, or if this issue is specific to me, and I need to figure something else out....

Re: Multiple interfaces

As far as I'm aware, Pro Tools M-Powered only works with M-Audio devices. You'd need to be using the regular Pro Tools 9 in order to use any interface you wanted.

Re: Which Macbook Pro to buy?

I just got the 15" i7 2.2GHz. If anything, upgrade the RAM yourself. 8gb of DDR3 is not worth $200. I spent $80, and my laptop is great.

The graphics are powerful enough, whether it's intel or AMD...

Re: Cloning my disk with "Disk utility" good choise?

I would actually suggest using Disk Utility...I've been a computer tech for a couple years professionally now, and honestly, I've had problems with Carbon Copy Cloner, crashing and freezing when it...

Re: PT 9.0.2 With OS 10.6.7?

I've got PT 9.0.2 running on a 2011 15" MacBook Pro, 2.2GHz i7, 8gb DDR3-1066 (I upgraded it myself)...

I haven't recorded anything just yet with the program, but I did test it by launching the...

*cough cough*

As for multiple 1010's in PT9, it is a problem with the ASIO drivers, I run a similar setup and have found only one Delta card can be...

Re: new build - 10K or SSD for System Drive?

10k RPM drives only make more heat in a really poorly cooled case. Having built many high end workstations for CAD, DAW and other uses, I have always gone for the 10k RPM drives over SSD.

Your SSD...

Re: Best Anti Virus Software for P Tools computer?

I've found Norton to be trash lately. Say what you will, but I work in a computer repair shop, and it has caused many problems both in the shop for us, and for other customers. We stopped selling.

Re: PT 9 install problems

Currently OS 10.6.6 is unsupported by Avid, so that's what I would guess. You'll have to find a way to roll back to 10.6.4, but I think that's what's preventing the install.

Unfortunately, I do believe the cards are still shipping with the older drivers. Since you're using Windows 7, you really do need to be running the latest drivers from M-Audio, they are driver...

Re: Future M-powered 8 development?

Pro Tools M-Powered will probably never expand to free soundcard installation, simply because it is designed and engineered around using an M-Audio device.

As far as ADC goes, it's possible, but I...

Re: Pro Tools 8: M Powered and MacBook Air ?

PT8 M-Powered would only work on a MacBook Air with a USB interface. I'm not exactly the purist kind, I don't record to an approved drive, and I'm a little picky about my settings, but personally, I...

Re: pt9/maudio profire 2626

Try a different FW cable if you can.

Make sure you're using the power adapter with the 2626, it is not Bus Powered, make sure you can open the PF Control Panel. If the control panel can't open, it...

I have a first...

Re: imac and pt 9

That I'm aware of, the i3 would only show up as a dual core. Mac does not support Hyperthreading in the same respect that Windows/Unix does, so the core count might only show up as 2.

If someone...
