Confirmed. My audio post template totally crashes if I double click on it to open/create a new session.. But it works fine if I use the menu,.

Ahh..didn't see this.. just posted the same thing. Mpeg 4 container/AAC audio. Won't work in Native mode..but works in Rosetta.

and I can totally confirm..if there is NO existing Video Track in your ProTools session, Drag/Drop a movie file acts as expected.. Creates a Video AND Audio track for the imported audio.

OK.. Interesting..my Post template has a video track in it. Today, I tried the options to Create a New Video track when draging the MP4. I also told it to delete tho old one from the session.....

mmmm.. I think that's one of the things that doesn't work in 2020.11. Even in 2020.12, they're still working on it.

C-arts, create a new Video Track first.. Then drag the Mp4/movie on it. That will bring the movie in for sure. Make sure Import Audio is checked when it asks.. See if the audio just shows up in...

And OF COURSE, 10.15.7 Supplimental Update came out Friday night :). Works on my laptop, but I'm not putting it on the Mac Pro 7,1 production machine. No issues with 10.15.6.. so..far..... :)

For all intents and purposes, OMF is (and should be) DOA. AAF is better code. And when Premier keeps making changes, Ptools suffers. And Ptools changes mess up Premier imports.

Any Premier session with a Nested Video Sequence will reek havoc. Premier Editors have to either flatten (or just do a duplicate sequence and trash all video). Encapsulated OMF's are totally hosed....
