upgraded to 12.8.3, now hdx card is not seen

-rig was operational but we bought a new hard drive and installed OS10.13.2 and PT12.8.3 as per avid's recommended compatibility

-protools opens but it does not see the avid hd or hdx card.... as...

options/pre-fader metering was checked. i tried it unchecked but the sound is no different.

could it be a calibration thing? i am using the spdif out from the 192 into a presonus central...

hybrid and expand synths clipping

no matter how low i attenuate, these synths are causing clipping artifacts. the overload indicators are not showing clipping, as the dialed in level is actually very low. it's definitely heard...

My suggestion to everyone with an i-lok is to get the zero downtime insurance. dont think of it as paying extra. just think "that's how much an i-lok costs", period. you would have bought the i-lok...

I have a suggestion.....charge extra for all iloks and make the insurance mandatory. forcing us thru the horrific process of loss recovery... borders on sadistic, not to mention a huge waste of...

192i/o lights flickering

why is this happening....every 2 seconds some of the input lights from 9-13 flash. each flash is different...some will peak and others wont, there's no real pattern, other than it happens every 2...

this turned out to be a defective 2nd drive on my new mac. when my glyph drive was used as the audio drive, the problem went away.
