Weeks, maybe months.

Not sure but but I wouldn't risk it. Just do a clean install when you get the hour or so of free time.

I lost a half day downgrading from SL 10.6.2 to Leopard 10.5.8 and reloading Pro Tools, but now with a sigh of relief I can now work again without the stuttery jitterness. On my new Mac Book Pro....

You used 8.0.1 on SL and it works fine?

I just tested this on a brand new Mac Book pro loaded with SL 10.6.2 and yes it is still jerky for me. Selections are jerky, playback cursor is jerky, video is jerky, scrubbing is jerky and tends to...

Same here on 10.5.5. Everything was fine before the upgrade. Now video, playback cursor, and scrub cursor is jerky. This is a very bad thing for checking sync. I'm gonna have to consider a downgrade...
