How to Patch In?

Hi PT brothers & sisters!

Let's say I want to get away from plugins and use outboard gear (e.g. EL Distressor) over the stereo bus, how do I patch hardware into Protools via my Mbox?

Silence before the track.

Just wondering how I can insert (say) 5 seconds of silence before a track. I am in the middle of mastering and I am working off singular stereo wav file.

Samson monitors. They're cheap but they're actually very good. Go for the louder (80watt?) versions. Your ears are the main thing. Also, it's all about how you position the monitors to get a good...

Mono Monitor for Mixing?

I've noticed a few studios position a little mono speaker in between their stereo monitors? I believe this speaker is often an Auratone and it can be useful to see how things sound in mono.
