I have macbook pro with 2.6 ghz intel core i5 with 8 mb ram
And it run without a flaw with that PT version
So which specks are you meaning are the problem?

I think that setup has a problem of software versions.
Macos 10.10.2 and PT 11.3.1 is conflicting!
Avid is aware of this!

As far as hardware I use RME Babyface (USB) gives me superior sound!:-)

And a problem with latest PT!
So I stepped back to 11.0.2 and alas! All my problems was gone!
It runs very good!

For me it was a god idea! The Avid installer keeps the settings intact and just reminds that you have a newer database than that you are going to install. Just click ok! A breeze!

Just a tip Chris: Don't bother to uninstall, just install it over your current version!

Yosemite 10.10.2 will not work with ProTools 11.3 according to my accordance.
Try PT 11.0.2 instead! Otherwise are your specs no problem if you stay away from the latest version!

May I add that Yosemite 10.10.2 and PT 11.3 is a problem. It was for me anyhow so I downloaded PT 11.0.2 and then my computer played without probs!

I downloaded the Demo session and it opened just fine! But the playback just gave me that old AAE error and didn't play1
