Re: Signum Audio's Bute Loudness Analyser: Feedback/Suggestions

Oh, and curious if there is any support for 7.1.2 Atmos version... we're starting to deliver that spec for online services that still require loudness metering!

Re: Signum Audio's Bute Loudness Analyser: Feedback/Suggestions

Russ, thanks, I haven't explored those all that much yet. But here's a screenshot of VISLM that maybe shows better what I mean. See how you can specify the 'green' area that really easily shows you...

Re: Signum Audio's Bute Loudness Analyser: Feedback/Suggestions

I just bought this, and love it. A bargain for the price. A couple possible ideas (really comparing it to the VISLM plugin).

Customizable colors would be fantastic. And one thing that VISLM has...

7.1 Channel Loudness Meter

Does anyone know of a loudness meter that supports 7.1 natively?

Re: 2018.4 has gone back to sluggish for me

Absolutely agree, for me all versions of 2018 are INCREDIBLY sluggish. Moving a track around.... beachball for a few seconds... scrolling around the session once again slow. Every thing about this...

Re: FLAC Support

I'd love FLAC support. I've converted my entire sound library to FLAC, and the ability to use it natively with ProTools would be amazing.

I highly doubt we'll ever see it.

Maybe they could make...

Re: MDWEQ5 'not valid 64 bit plugin' problem...

Thank you! Somehow I thought I had only the native version, and the iLok doesn't actually show. But in my account it listed it as DSP+AAX, although the installer in my downloads section was the...

MDWEQ5 'not valid 64 bit plugin' problem...

I know there was a thread a long time ago about this, but I can't find it.

But I own a Native license of Massenberg Designworks EQ5 Native. It's right there on my iLok.

I download the latest...

Re: PROTOOLS 12.7 is Working awesomely !! :)

I'm not actually intending to troll, but could you sum up the problems with VI and MIDI in ProTools? I admit I don't do much in that area, but whenever I've done a little, it's worked for what I...

Re: AVID Where's the option to disable EVERYTHING TO DO WITH "PROJECT"?

It's ridiculous that we have keep UNINSTALLING these every time, why can't Avid just put in a check box on install to keep these two things from installing!

Re: Application Manager's stupidity

On a Mac at least, Application Manager doesn't appear in the normal startup location so that you can easily deactivate it. It's buried in the system library. So much easier to just uninstall the...

Re: Interesting 12.6.1 bug - stereo tracks

What is TRULY terrifying about bugs like these, and many others we've been finding lately, where PT will simply stop following a pan, or just not output certain tracks, or mistakenly re-order the...

Re: 12.6.1 and H.264 Video issues

H.264 is a terrible codec to work this ProTools. I'm shocked that you ever had success. I've tried it with versions going back to 11, and also every version of 12, since I too have one client who...

Sound Effects Category Lists

Hi all. I'm thinking about starting a little open-source Sound Effects Category List. I'm curious if anyone knows of any lists already in circulation, or on the web, as a starting point. The goal...

Re: Does 12.6 fix GUI issues?

Have PT running on Sierra, 12.6, and it does seem to fix all the major graphical bugs I've been having for YEARS!

So far no issues with Sierra, but I haven't been 'working' so much as noodling...

Re: 12.6. HD - Video Sync Offset

I'll try this when I get home. That would be terrible if it's not saving that preference. It was never session based, it was system based, so some bug then if it won't take the new adjustment. Or...

Re: Fine breakpoint adjustment change in 12.6 = Showstopper

Just to be clear, holding SHIFT-COMMAND allows fine breakpoint adjustment vertically. SHIFT-OPTION allows it contrained horizontally. But unless there is another set of modifying keys we don't know...

Re: Fine breakpoint adjustment change in 12.6 = Showstopper

It constrains the fine adjustment to vertical only.

Probably one of the stupidest things that Avid has ever done. And yet why am I not in the least bit surprised.

Re: Did not receive a new license for Pro Tools 12.6 yet

Pretty ridiculous. I saw 12.6 was released, had no idea I needed a new iLok asset...

NOWHERE while installed 12.6 did it tell me, or how about this, how about the damn installer just CHECK for a...

Re: 12.6 released!!!

Ridiculous, I also don't yet have the asset in my iLok account. How can they continually screw these things up that badly. Oh, here's new software. But yeah, you can't use it yet....

Why weren't...

Re: Pro Tools 12.5.2 (!) Installer causes kernel panic and reboot of Mac Pro towards

If 12.5.2 is out, it's certainly out only for Beta testers. Since your second install worked, not quite sure what the point of your post is? There is no 12.5.2 out for the general public yet...

Re: Eucon 3.4 panning window MC Control Unit questions

Am wondering the same thing, you can't seem to control the right side at all, unless of course the panner are linked, but if not, you can only control the left side. Strange huh? But the iPad Control...

Re: Commit Track Bug

Select a region, and hit SHIFT-CONTROL-3. That'll 'render' silence for the length you selected, and keep the bounce going longer. So just add a 'dummy' region at the end of your session that goes...

Re: 12.5 is failing badly.

It doesn't matter if the plugin is being used or not, if it's in the plugin folder, it can cause all kinds of errors. Doesn't have to be being used on the tracks to cause errors!

Re: 12.5 is failing badly.

In nearly every case I've ever seen, CPU spikes are caused by a plugin. Whether it's Avid's fault, or the plugins manufacturer, it's almost always an old plugin that needs updating. People constantly...
