A baby step. Come on, what is the point of one stereo out with Input Monitoring off? It's like a token effort... Pro Tools might catch up to Cubase, Logic, Studio One, Reaper, Sonar etc. one day...

The way I read this is, you have only one output pair (1&2) to use direct monitoring but you can route as many inputs as your interface has, is this correct?

Actually, except for Pro Tools, I can't think of a DAW that DOESN'T have a setting to turn input monitoring off. All these workaround are all good (if not painful), but the point is, again, WE NEED...

Verifying DMI pool data hang

Fairly regularly now upon reboot, the bios boots and everything stops at "Verifying DMI pool data" so I have to recover from an Arconis backup. Nothing new hardware has changed but this happened...

With due respect, that's not the point. I have Nuendo, Reaper and Studio One and I use them ALL with RME Totalmix allowing virtually latency free setup WITH NO STRAIN ON THE COMPUTER!

kludge, WTF? Any other pro DAW lets you turn off input monitoring so you can use external monitoring via a console or a software console (like, RME Totalmix, MOTU Cuemix, the list goes on and on)....

I think Avid obviously didn't think this one through. EVERY other DAW has a way to turn input monitoring on/off and, unfortunately, this makes Pro Tools 9 virtually useless to me (and probably a load...
