I think that what you are saying is how it works now.
Just open the mixer window and press the new thunder button for each channel that you want to put on the dsp chips.

Yes. It’s a way of telling you that this track won’t do round trips between DSP and native “mixers”. Just put it on a track that is native and viola!

I use it with no problems at all. You just bounce a stereo sub path and your done. Its actually the same principle on Neyrinck and minnetonka.

LB is not design for any size or frame rate, that’s the beauty of it. It’s agnostic to size and frame rate. LB is like ProRes proxy.

DNx is Too old codec. The new LB is quite good and it doesn’t ask for much data rate.
