Just to test it I moved all my none digidesign or air plugins to the "not used" folder and tested my session again.
Seems like it must have been an incompatible plugin like you DigiTechSupt...

Yeah I have been through the troubleshooting thread a few times.
Disabled spotlight indexing,blue tooth, airport, virus software.
Audio on seperate harddrive connected to my IMAC via FW800....

I have a Core 2 Duo iMac with 4GB.
With PT 7 I had almost no problems but
I struggle a lot with performance after the upgrade to PT8.
I really like PT8 but it has almost rendered my system...
