003 R "disconnects" after Pro Tools starts...

OK I have a weird issue, as usual.

My 003 started doing this a while ago, and now I can't make it stop. I check the connections and in the Audio/MIDI OS settings everything seems OK - 18 ins/outs....

Sure, but I don't see other "standalone" DAW makers with a 1-month grace period after less than 12 months of meaningless updates and a steep upgrade price... after firing support staff.

That used to be the standard way of seeing things - but Avid now puts out "different versions" with the frequency they used to update dot releases. It's a common model with software companies...

There's shouldn't be a need to "police" this - it's a very straightforward, simply answered question, that should be expected after the Pro Tools 9 -> 10 debacle. :(

Yep, so much for a relatively expensive version update that is now obsolete again, with version 10 - (that probably still has the same AirPort issue).

It's not. For 100 piece orchestral sessions, they use Digital Performer and Nuendo. Whoever told you they use Pro Tools is probably lying to you. I know because I've arranged, produced and composed...
