There's a period of adjustment -- no doubt -- but it's short, and once you're beyond it the GUI feels easier to navigate. Everyone's mileage does vary, however.

Oh I'm definitely not itching to upgrade, but I do still get CPU spikes -- the only major source of stress when building sessions in PT -- and I can't help think that a cleaner and more modern OS...

I'm not even sure how you got past the initial warning screen that tells you to upgrade your firmware. My options were 'upgrade' or 'quit' or something like that.

If there's a finite amount of bandwidth available for PT users and Avid must prioritize those data channels then I'd expect paying customers to receive that priority.

We haven't tried it in quite a while. Our initial tests were somewhat uninspiring (with issues similar to what you've mentioned) so we've avoided it since then. Love the idea of it. Maybe it's time...
