Re: What happened to my plugins?

Your iLok does not have the licenses, which is why the new install tells you to buy licenses. I have no idea why your PT11 is okay but on your new system you surely need the licenses.

Re: Not you again, Mr. -9173

Set it to manual, have it backup when you want to (like when you go to sleep). Automatic backups off, hae the time machine icon be on your menu bar, choose "backup now" when you like. Easy.

Re: What happened to my plugins?

Check the ILM first, because you need to know what licenses you have and have they expired. Very simple thing to do, takes a minute or so.

Re: Macbook Pro backup before repair

If it's 100MB/s read and write on both ends, backing up half a terabyte takes roughly hour and a half.
If both drives are 1000MB/s fast SSD's then about ten minutes.
If the performance is from 90's...

Re: What happened to my plugins?

Check your iLok License Manager and see for yourself. Do you "own" the plugins, as in permanent licenses showing up? Are they licensed as subscription which has expired?

Re: Not you again, Mr. -9173

That's why you shouldn't have any scheduled routine work on your audio workstation. Backups for example, or Spotlight indexing.. they take huge slice of your storage performance and PT will have...

Re: Not you again, Mr. -9173

Your sig says you have updated PT to the latest, which is why you should also have updated your plugins to latest versions. You cannot expect old plugins work like a charm if your platform changes

Re: Macbook Pro backup before repair

How long does it take for you to read a book, say maybe few hundred pages?

Seriously, it is not about CCC but your drives' performance. If they stream 10MB/sec or 100MB/sec or 1000MB/sec makes a...

Re: Are we not due an update??!!

QTX isn't it? So what we've been waiting is QTX pro as you said. And once released better give it to the old customers too, not just new App Store purchases

Re: Catalina update for Pro-Tools?

It is pretty much a given you need Catalina for the new Mac Pro, otherwise they would have shipped them already
