What I do is add a midi drum VI. Record 1 or 2 bars of a midi drum sound what ever sound and figure works, quantize it and copy and paste however long i need the song.

I am running latest PT on High Sierra 13.6. Working great here. Install it with your older version of PT. In applications rename the old version then install the new version and check it out.

Consolidate all the tracks and then go into your audio folder of the tune and you should see the time you consolidated. Take those tracks.
