yes, yes, the combo jacks, and not speakon. i've heard them referred to as 'neutrik' because i believe they commonly make the 1/4"/TRS connectors. you know, like "chapstick" or "kleenex."

neutrik, or speakon inputs are on input that can take either 1/4" trs or xlr.

thanks for the clarification about outputs 1-8.

Yeah, like I said, I did all the 'dummy checks'. I'm not a noob to protools, just never had enough money for decent monitors. I think the outputs are just screwed, but I thought perhaps someone else...
