A fabulous multiband alternative for this upward expansion is the McDSP ML4000. It used to be pretty expensive but I've seen it as low as $50 recently.

Its magic is that it can simultaneously turn down stuff that's too loud (like a conventional downward compressor) and also turn up stuff that's too soft.

It's awesome for that and it's easy.

There's nothing wrong with just using the rack with one module in it.
You could put a FGX-2 over your master as the only device in the rack if you want. The rack on its own won't punish your CPU....

Same problem - didn't work for me on any of Chrome, Safari or Firefox.

Thanks to Neil above who suggested logging into your Avid account and then clicking on your downloads. That worked.

The only issue is that I've naturally got the matching frame for a 32 fader rig, so if I tried to split it up, doesn't that mess up the configuration?

FYI - Clariphonic for 64 bit AAX is being released into public beta tomorrow.
UBK-1 has been AAX 64 for a few months already, so both are good to go with Pro Tools 11.


$150 for both + iLok...
