Re: Internal fragmented, bought new drive, what now?
You can defragment your internal drive with TechTool Pro 3 only if you boot from the TechTool Pro CD.
It is usually a good idea to back up important files before defragmenting. Although,... I have...

I have been using the Roland R8MkII for a while and I think it might suit you well. There are a lot of sounds in the box. The Mark II has almost all of the optional sounds from the sound cards that...

Re: Swapping SDII between Mac and PC?
SDII is a "no-go" on PC. If someone gives you a Mac-based SDII session, you will have to open it (on a Mac) and then re-save it as Broadcast Wave or aiff. Everything will then be fine.
SDII will...

Re: PT "Mastering": Goodbye C4? Hello Fairchild??
I know exactly what you are talking about. Sometimes I instantiate it just to get the sound on the 2 bus. I won't even have the meter move or nuthin'.
I've used a few 660s and 670s. Each one of...

Re: Anyone else interested in Expansion Options for PT LE hardware???
The problem would be that the Digimax sends its digital audio into the ProTools world via a Digidesign manufactured I/O box. In order to get the converted analog signals onto (and off of) your hard...

Unfortunately, the Digimax does not allow one any additional I/O. It must be connected to existing I/O on your LE system. Not exactly what I was speaking of in my original post.
I perceive...

Re: Anyone else interested in Expansion Options for PT LE hardware???

Re: Ram Question
The "PC 100" or "PC133" is just a reference to the maximum bus speed that the RAM can be used in. If you throw PC 100 RAM into a machine that can take PC 133 RAM, things will still work. And the same...
