8.0.5 worked with Win 7, not sure about 8.1. Downside is, you need to use Avid or Digi hardware to act as the dongle.

10gb of ram isn’t enough, Avid’s recommended minimum is 16gb.

I only have one m.2 slot on my Gigabyte Designar mobo, and it already has a Samsung 970 in it, but the prospect of am m.2 in a pci-e slot is intriguing. I’ll be looking into that.

You will eventually want to replace that 5400 rpm drive. Recording spinner drives need to be 7200 rpm so you have sufficient throughput.
