Whenever I record music (fairly rare these days) I still go back to SM57 top and a Beta57 on the bottom.

I have an Inta Audio i7 machine here, seems very decent. I have not put it into full daily service yet but will do soon. 500GB is a good size for OS HD IMO.

Well no reason other than a diff FR could be imported by accident, that's why I wondered if it causes a problem and it must unload the previous QT file first, but as confirmed LE without DV Toolkit...

Hmm... not sure if it's a Windows limitation?

Presumeably it uses the QT engine for playback.

Unless of course I am importing a video with a different frame rate and
thats why I get the 1...

Yes I thought about earthloop, however these usually appear only when
you have devices connected via audio I/O that are using different ring mains
there should be no difference in voltage...

Unbalanced leads make no difference at all.

I tried to connect a mini jack to 2 TS jacks to the
headphone socket where there is normally no hum and connect this to my power amp

Just tried a differnt USB2.0 lead and no difference
humming still there.

I try a different computer now.

My DAW is not attached to the internet I am afraid and
my machine that is runs SP1 and as it runs perfectly well I find it difficult
