Good catch! It seems someone (blames interns but probably myself) forgot to switch it off and OSX was grabbing the Mbox. Thanks arvid.lind that should fix it for now. I guess I will stick with 8.0.1...

If stuck on LE, should one be using 8.0.1 or 8.0.cs3 ? for post editing and mixing? Cheers, I am currently on 8.0.1. however I find it rather sluggish particularly the playhead. Perhaps I am better...

With Postman's additions things are a little more clear. I suppose the information I have been going by is outdated by these dolby standards and I will have to get a meter eventually.

I understand the purpose of dialnorm but as I explained perhaps I am not using it correctly in my mixes. I will re-calibrate my room today and check on some old programmes. Your reply made me think...

Ya I thought I understood Dialnorm, well I do to an extent. However with a calibrated system -20dbfs pink = 82 dBc (smaller room), when planting dialogue at -27 (using phasescope on LEQ) the dialogue...

To nst7: Surroundcode by Neyrinck is very interesting however roughly the same price range as a surround controller which would be the ultimate problem solver here...

I believe that PT does not support or work well with recording or playback To/from an external drive, FireWire included. It may also have something to do with recording time or space restrictions...
