Almost everything we mix ends up going back into an Avid or FCP. Can those systems even handle a 32 bit file? I suppose we could work in 32 bit, dither to 24 across our print...

a well known, and oft-repeated-on-the DUC topic:
Mojo has trouble (putting it mildly) playing back QT files, but works great with MXF. we don't even bother trying - we always convert QT to MXF...
