Mbox 2 Pro power w/New Macbook Pro

With a new Macbook Pro having no FW400 ports will it supply power to an Mbox 2 Pro using a FW400 to 800 cable?

Check the output of your bussed VI audio track. It should be set set to Analog 1-2.

Your chain of events should be:
Open a new stereo audio track
Set the input to Bus 1-2 or 3-4, 5-6 etc...

This drive does not power up unless it has a working connection to the Macbook. If I unplug my Mbox 2 pro and plug the HD into the FW 400 slot the Lacie will power up. This is with the Macbook off....

Express Card needed external DC power. More wires, less portable but I've got Data flow. Time to get to making music..... YAY!!!

Only problem is that my Lacie has only one FW400 slot. I may be able to implement this chain going FW800 from the MacBook to the Lacie and then FW400 from the Lacie to the Mbox2 pro.

Here is a work around for this issue.

Navigate to your Pro Tools Application in the Applications folder.

Right click on the App and choose, ‘Show Package Contents’

Open the Contents Folder,...
