Pro-Tools 11 is installed!
I use a Focusrite 18i20 Audio Interface. I can mic up all my drum kit with it!!!

I have no experience of Pro-Tools - apart from going to college presently.

The hard drive is a SATA as well, but not mSATA.

Can I not put a USB external drive on my laptop as it would be USB...

I disagree there. I have to put my ear to the laptop as it looks like its not switching on as you literally cannot hear anything. The most amazingly quiet machine I have ever seen/heard.

Two SEPERATE drives. USB 2.0 Pro-Tools HD automatically loads HD.

Do I have to load the Protools drivers before installing? The non HD being about 5.6MB and the HD a bit bigger.

I am still having enormous dificulty getting Pro-Tools to run on my super laptop.

I have Windows 8 and it seems like Pro-Tools 11 HD will not run on this, according to compatibilty notes etc.
