Bam, I started up my system load a session and the static was there. Opened an earlier saved session and no static on the tracks. I have no explanation for this phenom. BUT if anybody would like to...

The sound only occurs on PT. Other sources from the computer play fine and thru TB the Apollo interface i-tunes,CDs, internet. The problem isn't the playback monitoring. This happened a few months...

The sound appears on all sessions. Happened intermitently but now it's won't resolve itself. Also the sound seems to be in front/on top of the primary audio.

I'm running PT 11 on a Mac OS 10.8.5 with Apollo 8 interface. Lately I'll get the system up and running and push play and I get a scatchy distorted sound.
I;ve restarted, repluged, recheck I/O's...

Amagras, I haven't reset the i/o settings because other bussing is not a problem. I'll try that. Thanks for the suggestion

Bussing problem

I can't buss all my tracks to another stereo audio track to record/print a finial mix. All other bussing operations work like normal. What could be wrong?

I'm having problem bussing to an audio trk. I can bus to an aux but not a audio trk. I'm doing sub-mixes. What could be up? thanks

This board is maybe 3 years old. So a keyboard can just fail? It does perform some functions. Board on MBP works perfectly as well as PT

the keyboard has the colored keys, on the space bar it says . .logic keyboard.
Avid designed for PT. On the back is. . . B/N 20160607BN1-16 and nothing else.

OK . . the avid board works on a newer MacBook Pro with no audio programs installed, but not MBP running PT. Functions like command Q work, but space bar, no. I've re-pluged, reselected inputs.

No, the avid board won't type letters or numbers. I',m going to follow on your suggestions. Oh, everything was fine until 3 days ago.

Musicman . . . Mac book pro. The avid keyboard works on certain functions,enter,close window and others. Space bar does work at all.
The keyboard does control some functions on other programs.

Benoni, no the space bar doesn't work from the avid keyboard usb connected.

The keyboard does some function on the lap top.
