Re: On M-audio fast track pro "insert" channels

This is correct. The insert jacks are NOT for inserting hardware onto an existing track in Pro Tools. If that is what you want, let me try to talk you out of that for the following reasons:...

Re: Connect an external effect rack into MBox 3 Pro

Pretty sure Step #1 is where you are incorrect. IIRC, the TC is a mono-in device so feed a single TRS cable from a LINE OUTPUT of the Mbox(3 or 4, not both) into the TRS input of the TC. Route a send...

Re: -9093 stops are killing me!!!!!

Hmmm, I always uninstall the HD drive when I uninstall PT and running the installer(always using the Run as Admin option) should be putting in the correct driver. I did read something about...

Re: Marking End Point of Song for Bounce?

Better yet, make the selection and save it in a memory location as a selection. Now you can grab the song any time just by clicking on that memory location(very handy when you find yourself making...

-9093 stops are killing me!!!!!

Any session. My typical band tracking template is around 42 tracks with several plugins, that are all light-cpu(EQ III, BF76, some verbs, some Channel Strip) and the cpu meter sits at 8% on idle and...

Re: On M-audio fast track pro "insert" channels

Inserts are for the input. They are before the A>D conversion. What is the issue?

Re: Behringer x32 monitor latency issues

Try changing the playback buffer setting lower(in Pro Tools>Setup>Playback Engine>the Playback Buffer setting offers choices like 64, 128, 256, 512 and 1024. The 64 setting usually works fine for...

Re: Auto Tune Pro Latency

Not sure why it would be different, but I have Autotune Live here and it has no latency. Maybe check with Antares and ask if your ilok asset would also allow Autotune Live to be used on your...

Re: HDMI sound not working

So the HDMI is your ONLY audio connection? If so, set Windows(in Control Panel>Sound>Properties) to have no "default playback" device and see what happens.

2 things to consider:
#1- Windows...

Re: Noob getting started with post production

Yes, all 5 speakers SHOULD match. Yes, you need HD(or now Ultimate) Pro Tools if your serious about surround. Non-HD software can be tricked into doing surround, but that's not likely to help when it...

Re: Dealing with big video files

Is this a laptop? Is everything on the same drive(the system drive)? That would probably be the show stopper. AFAIK, most people stream video from a separate drive(but I'm not the expert on this:o).

Re: Mbox 2 Family - Win10

As I already said, you should go into Control Panel>sound>Properties and choose the onboard(Realtek) device as the "Default Playback Device" for Windows. That SHOULD free up the Mbox for Pro Tools....

Re: Pro Tools refuses to shift an audio clip by the number of samples I specify

One more bit of info for future reference. If you have a clip that starts at zero(IOW, the far left) and try to shift that earlier, it can't move(because its already "at the wall"). Cut the clip...

Re: How to route USB audio into Pro Tools

Still not going to work. If you were running a Mac, you might be able to create an "aggregate" of the kit plus your usual interface, but that's not an option for Windows users. If you are getting...

Re: Control 24 inputs or Digi 192 inputs??

Indeed^^^ So the OP understands, the Control 24(and C24) mic preamps are NOT available in Pro Tools. They simply exit the back panel via DB25 ports. They must pass thru the 192(or some interface)...
