I just found out that while the screen is freezing, it is possible to change track sizes in the edit window, and the tracks will resize, but the other screen elements will remain frozen.

I got the same error yesterday on a rig running 7.3.

Today, I was tracking a band, and I think the screen freeze caused the click plug-in to go crazy.

I just got the freeze while auditioning some vocal tuning with Auto Tune. The transport was in play when the freeze happened, and then Auto-Tune did some crazy random tuning stuff to the vocal track...

You should consider the strong possiblilty that your computer has a motherboard problem, and it will need to be replaced. I went through the same type of hell with an older computer running a Mix...

I just had the freeze, and the wavecache file time did not match the freeze (it was a few hours old).

That was me who said "ok for a bit, then stopped".

I can't remember my exact situation with midi, but I was recording midi info from someone playing a midi keyboard controller onto a midi track...
