Re: Same idea, different solution.

Hey terry,
IF it works for you do it.. but this way does not allow for Delay Compensation. (look up "inserts" in the manual). You will probably end up with some kind of comb filtering playing those...

Re: Advice for expaning inputs on HD rig

You can snag a presonus D8 or Digimax.. and bump up 8 analog (plus 8 outputs with the Digimax) but you are restricted to 48k
Since you are using the c24 pres, I think this would work well for 8 of...

Re: Power consumption of the 192IO Digital and HD IO Digital

My final post in this inane discussion. I did edit my post to be less inflammatory, after realizing who/what I am dealing with.
I don't mind being wrong on this. i also don't mind that you have a...

Re: Pro Tools 9 error (-9073) HELP

How many virtual instruments are you using in this session? You said 12 tracks of drums, and "all samples and midi"... so NO Audio, huh? That means if the session is "quite large" then you have a...

What is your buffer set at? did you Format the drive before using? Dumping digi files? Which did you dump? Use the app, it looks at the proper ones.

Sometimes that warning goes away with a...

Re: Metronome/Countoff with Online Transport Issue

Re: Power consumption of the 192IO Digital and HD IO Digital

I believe there is something wrong with your system, or your testing method. Perhaps you have a 60" monitor, and are measuring more than the computer itself.
The macpro that i am typing this on has...

Re: Power consumption of the 192IO Digital and HD IO Digital

Consumption and "requirements" are two different things.

I base my statement on actually operating several of them, from a G5 2.7, a 2007 intel, 2009, and 2011... and then actually measuring...

Re: Most stable PT Native system for OS 10.6.7?

In my experience the pre is...

Re: Most stable PT Native system for OS 10.6.7?

What are you recording? Are you syncing to video? What will u use for pre's? Reason I ask is that if you are not going to be bringing in high quality pres... I would use Presonus D 8's or something...
