There is no link listed. The information is on page 16. Someone ruined their BIOS so they bought a chip from Asus for $30 and soldiered it in.

Germany's Asus website has a 1008B BIOS for the A7M266 that I've flashed my board to.

I haven't had any problems with it. Running an XP 1600+.

I think it was the XP 2000+ that people were able to get working well. Some people tried the XP 2100+ and it was unstable. I think for some it worked.

Either one will work with Pro Tools.

I had an A7V with an Athlon Socket A 1.4 GHz and 384 PC133 SDRAM. I got 21 tracks off the test mentioned here.

DDR memory is faster so provides better...

I may be mistaken, but I thought there were a few motherboards that took socketed Athlons that accept either regular SDRAM or DDR SDRAM.

It is not correct to say Athlons take DDR...

Check the specifications of your motherboard. It will either require SDRAM or DDR RAM.

It will work but you may need another sound card for MIDI or games.

Also, I've read some people having trouble with one of the S/PDIF channels.

I read about someone trying to do that with an application called WinCVS I think.

They were having some trouble, but I don't know how long ago that was.

I would just get the Red Hat Install CDs...
