So I simply tried exactly what I was trying earlier in the night, later that evening, and it worked just fine. Clearly the AVID website was having a brain fart. PT 12.5 up and running flawlessly.

So I DO have the last 4 number extension, and it is still giving me this problem. When I go to activate my new software, it has the address in place, yet it still wants me to Verify and update it,...

Could be...but is that the answer? I think other people have used them just fine. I mean, I will probably use better plug-ins anyways, but it is always nice to have more in my arsenal.
