Rebuilt permissions after I finished installing all my libraries and plugins today, still get hang on splash screen at "Setting up I/O paths".

Ok chaps, got some dramas with my current attempt at getting my hack up and running. System is as in my signature, except I've now got a Corsair Force GT as my boot drive. Have Mountain Lion 10.8.2...

Just to be clear, my mbox 2 was the pro model that ran via firewire. Also, as a check, have you applied the optimizations suggested by Avid for Windows 7 users? Specifically the ones relating to USB...

For me, if I opened that one session that gave me sound I could then close it and open up any other session and the sound worked fine...it seemed like it just needed something from that session that...

So after trying the suggestions you guys have made already the issue still persists. It's as if by adding the bass The overall sound distorts...:confused:

Thanks for the responses guys. The wierd thing is that the bass level goes no where near clipping...at least according to the meters in pro tools and the eleven rack. I was going to sion a screen...
