How would a 2nd UAD-1 card + maybe a Lucid DA be over dropping a few grand on an old mix plus system?

Almost go with that or sell...

Well...... heres another Idea...... what about just getting a 2nd UAD-1 card to use for more plugs instead of the pt ones as far as compressors and eq's.... then take that 1000 that's left or so......

What about a M-Audio 1814 firewire I/O for my main studio I/O? Is that still high quality...better than the 001?

Also.. does it come with protools 7? What DONT you get with the maudio powered...

yeah but 6.9 lets you use dual processors which I have a dual 1.25 g4...it'd help ecspecially with my UAD-1 CARD.... thanks guy! guess I'll revert then update to tiger when I get a new 002, thanks!

So what the heck... now because I'm in Tiger and stuck, I have to sell my 001 and buy a 002 now to stay up to date with the software...that's bs. So when is the 002 going to get phased out for a 003?...

alright so... i'm f'd.
I upgraded to 10.4.3 tiger, I've got my 001 plugged into my card and 6.9.2 installed.
Problems is that.... the hardware is lit up but protools isnt seeing the hardware....
